Being respected is far more important for a leader than being liked. Being liked can feel a better than the tough work it sometimes takes to be respected. But it's also really important to remember these two things are not mutually exclusive.
Loved getting this little extra insight to the process to build our new culture deck (which I love!). Just like our passion projects are a labor of love, passing the point of seeking approval and instead seeking to make a difference is also a long-term commitment and often laborious.
