What makes a leader?
Not a title, but a vision.
Not seniority, but self-awareness.
Not technical skills, but team-building smarts.
How do we learn to lead?
Not intellectually, but experientially.
Not in a workshop, but in the work.
Not in training, but in practice.
How do we keep going?
Not by grinding, but by growing.
Not under pressure, but in play.
Not solo, but in solidarity.
Last month I posted on LinkedIn about new research that reveals the depth of our leadership development crisis, while simultaneously proving that developing leaders has exponential ROI for a business—increasing profitability, customer satisfaction, employee retention, adaptability and innovation.
Yet, few organizations prioritize leadership development, or do it effectively. What programs do exist tend to be one-off workshops with limited applied learning and minimal long-term impact. And now, companies are slashing development budgets.
In response to this crisis, I’m building an alternative to high-cost, low-yield leadership development programs. It’s called Radiant Leader, and it’s a community of practice for transformational leaders like you.
We’re in soft-launch mode right now, and welcoming founding members who are committed to doing leadership differently. You can join today to co-create the community with us, or stay tuned and I’ll share updates as we hit the ground running in the new year.
