After years of destruction due to dynamite fishing, nonprofit Coral Guardian rebuilt the substrate of a reef off Hatamin Island, Indonesia by transplanting fragments of corals recovered in the area onto solid structures, called “nurseries,” to offer them the best possible conditions for development.
