I remember when execs worried about their people finding out how much their peers make, or openly discussing company issues. Now we have Glassdoor, Fishbowl, etc. built to enable that transparency.
I remember when execs worried that employees couldn’t be trusted to be productive working remotely. Then COVID hit and we found out the opposite was true: We have a much harder time switching our productivity off.
Instead of worrying about losing control over their people, business leaders might want to worry about not being ready to move with these shifts. They’re happening, with or without you. And more are on the way.
The question is: Are you coming along? Or will you be left behind?
