An alternative to the futile and painful act of wishing it all away
Dear one, please remember:
This is not forever.
(Nothing is forever.)
It is a once-in-a-lifetime global event.
We are living it. But it’s not our lives.
It’s not our new reality. It’s our present reality.
This time will pass.
It’s up to us to learn what we can from it
so we can meet what’s next
with more wisdom than before.
Let’s get some perspective.
Let’s not push ourselves to the breaking point.
Let’s pause to look around.
Let’s read the lessons writ large in our societies, structures, relationships.
Let’s learn what we can.
Something like normal will come back around soon enough.
Let’s not miss our chance to make it better.
This is not forever.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not important.
(I offer this as an alternative to the futile and painful act of wishing it all away.)
